Welcome to the   Legendary Liberton Rugby Club. The club is based in South Edinburgh and currently plays in the East League Division 3. Liberton Rugby Club was founded in 1963 by a group of former pupils of Liberton High School led by Norrie Speakman who was the first captain.


Bruce Hay
 (23 May 1950 – 1 October 2007)
RIP

Hay was a fullback and gained 23 international caps for Scotland and also represented the British Lions and the Barbarians He started his rugby career at junior club Liberton RFC, a team he captained at the age of 18, and while there represented Edinburgh, this was an astonishing feat for a junior club player and his tough tackling reputation was sealed.He then moved to Boroughmuir in 1972 where he went on to gain international recognition.
